At The Mortgage Guy, we are a small, dedicated team based in Christchurch, serving home buyers across Canterbury from Riccarton and Fendalton to Rangiora and Kaiapoi. Led by founder and financial adviser Ashley Newsome, we exist to make the home buying process easier, clearer, and more achievable for everyday Kiwis in our community and across New Zealand.
Ashley started The Mortgage Guy after experiencing first hand how confusing and intimidating buying a home can be. That frustration became the reason we do what we do, to give people the clarity and confidence the system often lacks.
We help home buyers navigate one of the biggest decisions they’ll ever make. From deposit planning through to settlement day, we break down every step so it makes sense, not just on paper but in real life.
